At the Rock Paper Scissors International World Championships we would regularly see strings of 5 or 6 stalemates (throws repeated by both players). I personally refereed a match that went as high as 10. I have heard stories of matches that involved up to 13 in a row, but not sure how likely that is. 100? Not a chance, so long as both players are not colluding with each other.

Were a string of 100 to occur at a professional RPS event, I would speculate the following would happen:

We would likely have replaced the ref at least 3 times

Both players would likely begin developing swelling on their wrists and the fleshy area between thumb and index finger due to repetitive strain. This would make a throw of Scissors quite painful

Any crowd assembled to watch would likely have gotten bored and dissipated..
