Directions: Given that b ∥ c with d as transversal. Find the value of x in the following.

1. m∠4 = 6x, m∠5 = 120 °

2. m∠2 = 63 °, m∠7 = 9x

3. m∠6 = x, m∠3 = 107 °

4. m∠8 = 7x + 3 , m∠2 = 3x + 17

5. m∠ 3 = 3x – 15, m∠7 = x + 25

1) m<4-5x,m<5=120 m<4=m<5 since m<4-5x,m<5-120 So 5x=120

x=24

2) m<1-100,m<7=10x m<1+m<7=180 m<100+10x=180

10x=80

3) m<2-3x-10,m<6=x+30 thus m<2,m<6 since m<2-3x-10,m<6=x+30 3x-10 = x+30
