MY REACTION ABOUT MOVIE “MIRACLE IN CELL NUMBER 7”:

Through this film, I reap a message that can be used as an example, especially for children to always respect and love their parents. In addition, the hearts of the audience will also be moved to realize how influential a person’s handshake is in deciding justice. Sometimes, it’s not all about who’s right and who’s wrong. It’s not just about who is in power or not.

Miracle in Cell No. 7 is a family drama film that will surely make it easy for viewers to shed tears. A story about the relationship between father and son that is so close and will probably touch the sentimental side of the audience. This is a very strong drama story with a rhythm that is so maintained from beginning to end. The most moving scene for me was when Yong Goo said goodbye to Ye Sung. Usually his father would turn around on the count of three and act funny. However, this time his father did not do that and did not come back again. That’s when Ye Sung started to shed tears.

The advantage of this film is that the acting of the players who play in this film makes the audience drift away in sadness. I like the role of Ye Sung as a child who has strong chemistry with his father, Yong Goo in acting. In addition, Park Shin Ye as well as an adult Ye Sung looks very straightforward in playing his role. She looks so beautiful when wearing a lawyer dress. The supporting players are 5 prisoners of cell No. 7 is also very good in playing the role. So, it is not surprising that this film became one of the highest grossing films watched in South Korea when it was released in 2013.

Behind these advantages there are also disadvantages, namely this film is told in flashback but there are some parts that are still not understood. Then there are so many events that seem illogical, such as several times when Yong Goo is injured but there is no healing scene. Suddenly Yong Goo returns to health as if nothing happened.

My opinion regarding Miracle in Cell 7 is that I highly recommend this film to be watched for melodrama lovers, because this film has many touching scenes. Guaranteed to make the audience shed tears. In addition, this film also inserts comedy parts that make the storyline more interesting. If judged from a number 1–10, I would give this film a 10 because I think this is a film that can be watched by people of all ages. The story is not boring.

But, about the fate of every human being that depends on the hands of those in power. There are still quite a number of people in high positions using their power to get the truth as desired. There are many people who support people like this. Though consciously or not, the position is a responsibility. The responsibility of the person in charge is to act as fairly as possible. Meanwhile, people who support them on the basis of fear of losing their position do not realize that what they are doing may destroy a relationship or even a family.
